Few years ago we can only buy music on vinyl, compact disc or tape cassettes which could be bought in record shops. In this time, we could only dream about buying music without leaving home. Now it is possible because we can buy lots of music in shops but also on the Internet. Also music fans don’t have to buy the whole album but singles which you like or which you want to buy. Singles on iTunes are 79p which is cheaper than a £1.99 CD single. If you buy music through the internet you can download it straight onto your computer in few seconds or minutes, it takes less time than go out to the music shop, except if you live above the music shop, but if you want to buy one single, the internet is only way to do it.
Today buying music is very simple. However there are millions of people who don’t want spend their money buying music so they decide to download it from illegal web sites or p2p programs (peer to peer) e.g. ‘Emule’, ‘uTorrents’, ‘limewire’ or ‘Bearshare’. These programs allow you to download music from every part of the Earth from every internet server which shares those files for every one who don’t want to spend money on music. To download the files from servers for free you have to sign in or register, but the information which you give there can be used through police and then they can find you and charge you with a criminal offence of copyright infringement. Jammie Thomas from America was caught sharing and downloading illegal music via peer to peer site Kazaa. She had to pay $9250 per song because she had an account on ‘Kazaa’. So if you want to download music for free you have to beware of police which can find you!

Media studies project 2 CD cover
This CD cover is made from picture of me and some stuff which I found on web sites. This cover is made in hip-hop or rap style.
I add some hip-hop stuff like a little boy who wear wide and long trouisers and hold a paintspray. Also I add some graffiti which connect with hip-hop style.
I used the same tools as in the Jimmy Hendrix CD cover. I used 'magnetic lasso tool' to cut out my person from the picture and then I paste it onto CD cover with a picture of brick wall. Then I paste some grafitti style onto CD cover and smuge them using 'Smuge tool'. Also I paste two guys and smuge them too.

3. You can use your own colour but first you have to tick a COLORIZE box which shows you at the botom of the hue/saturation window
4.DESATURATE the things which you don't want to colorize e.g. windows.
5. Now I tell you how to do a lightning circle around car.
6. You have to choose FILTER from top menu and then RENDER and finally LIGHTNING EFFECTS

Jimmi Hendrix
That is the CD cover of a Jimmy Hendrix which I have to do as a first part of a Media studies project. I cut out a picture of Jimmy Hendrix, paste it onto CD cover, and then write a name of CD. Also I add some colour to the letters.
I used a 'Magnetic Lasso tool' which helps me to cut out the picture of Jimmy Hendrix and then I pasted it onto blank CD cover. I wrote a name of artist and then add some outer and inner glow by clicking on layer style.

Adbusters!
Adbusters Media Foundation (called Adbusters or the Media Foundation) is a not-for-profit, anti-consumerist organization founded in 1989 by Kalle Lasn and Bill Schmalz in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They describe themselves as "a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age."
The foundation publishes Adbusters a 120,000-circulation, reader-supported activist magazine, devoted to numerous political and social causes, many of which are anti-consumerist in nature. Adbusters has also launched numerous international social marketing campaigns, including Buy Nothing Day and TV Turnoff Week and is known for their "subvertisements" that spoof popular advertisements.
Adbusters want to stop us before buying any things from adverts like brand new nike shoes because you paying only for sign of nike, the same shoes without that sign could be half price cheaper than with that sign.
I think that few people will agree with adbusters, but rest of them still will buy famous brand products.
Adbusters have very difficult mission to do because adverts are everywhere, I did a project which says that i have to make picture of every advert which I saw in 5 minutes time at city centre during this project I saw about 70 adverts in 5 minutes, but I did not see any from adbusters. So here we can see that it is not easy to beat the advertising industry. Also it is not easy to raise money to be at every shop or bus, they have to beat a £17 million advert industry which produce lots of adverts every day.

The Power of Advertising
The Power of Advertising
Everywhere you go you can see a lot of advert hanging on walls, standing at street or stacked to shop windows. There is a lot of Adverts at Bus stations or just on the buses, on billboards or in newspapers as well as on TV. Every city is stacked by advert and also airports have lot of billboards with adverts.
Every year only in UK people and industries spend £17 million on Adverts, and these adverts help increase the selling items or attracted people to your product. This way you can also be sponsored by other industries e.g. ‘David Beckham is sponsored by Adidas’.
Everything from these helps industries in Brand Image and Brand Association as well. Brand Image e.g. ‘Nike=Football, Sport’. Brand Association= Success= Sponsors, successful team.
People can feel different needed to your product e.g. they can not like your design so you could put ‘design your own trainers’ program on website or attracted website with some fun or interesting stuff.

Thierry Henry Picture Analysis
This is a picure of a Thierry Henry who hold the ball in his arm. This picture is a photo-montage and it shows Thierry Henry after score the goal or won match. He looks really agresive but i think that he is quite happy. He pointing on someone, perhaps on coach or the goalkeeper from another team. The Thierry looks like he running with this ball. On this picture is a lot of light in front of Thierry because background is darker than front. Camera looks with little angle on him. This picture was done not in the studio but on the stadium while match or just training.
